A 58-year-old farmer identified as Kudjo Dakudzi is said to have been killed at Somanya in the Eastern region. The incident allegedly occurred in front of his two children, with whom he worked on his farm on Wednesday. Dakudzi’s attackers reportedly stabbed him several times before killing him in front of his children.

Martey Joshua, 32, the son of the deceased, said explains to Accra-based media house followed by straightnewsonline that he was also on his farm when he received a call about the incident. “I hurried to the place anxiously and saw my father lying dead on his farm at Akorley Foah, with blood all over his body which depicted that he was butchered with a cutlass”.

He said the attackers chased his brothers Desmond and Mamuli at the ages of 13 and 18, after finding them on the farm, but they managed to escape. Sgt. Francis Gomado, deputy public relations officer for the Eastern Regional Police Command, confirmed the cases.

He said the wound was found on the victim’s head, both arms and marks on his ribs and shoulders during the inspection.
