Ashley Cole hails Kai Havertz calling him a fantastic player after his two goals helped Chelsea to a Premier League victory over Fulham on Saturday.
The 21-year-old scored a brace to help Thomas Tuchel’s side close in on a Champions League qualification next season.
Chelsea have now moved six points clear of The Hammers who have shown resiliency this season staging a fight for an European competition next season with Champions League football at sight.
Havertz has had a slow start to the season since joining Chelsea from Bayern Leverkusen last summer in a lucrative £89 million deal as reported by Sportsmail scoring eight goals and providing 8 assists in all competitions.
But Cole who had his time at Chelsea playing over 300 games for the Blues has hailed him as a fantastic player.
Speaking on Sky Sports Cole said: “He was fantastic.
“He didn’t get too involved in the build-up but his little through balls and deft touches and control around the box, I think he deserved his two goals.”
