The 20-year-old defender has signed a-five-year contract with Barcelona with his release clause set at €400 million.
Eric Garcia is a product of Barcelona academy La Masia before joining Manchester City in 2017 but refused a contract extension at the Premier League club.
Garcia joined La Masia in 2008, before graduating and joining City where he made his debut in the Carabao Cup game against Leicester in December 2018 aged 17 years.
Barcelona in October 2020 saw their £15.4m plus add ons bid rejected by Man City with the club wanting a figure close to £20m according to reports from Sky Sports.
But now Garcia has returned home and will feature for the Spanish giants until 2025/2026 season.
