A very sad event has happened as a 10-year-old boy has died following an accident at a building site in Glasgow.
The accident was said to have happened after the boy fell down in a deep trench in the middle of the building site.
Shea Ryan, 10 years of age could not be saved when calls were made to the Police to report about a boy seriously injured near Glenkirk Drive in Drumchapel at 21:55 on Thursday.
Officers, along with the fire and ambulance service, arrived a short time later.
The 10-year-old was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he died soon after arrival.
A source who saw the incident said; “there was total panic. The police were first on the scene and they jumped in and dragged the boy out.
“You could see them trying to resuscitate him then the paramedics arrived and he was taken away in an ambulance.
“It was a horrific thing to see. Everybody is heartbroken for the boy and his family.”
The Health and Safety Executive confirmed he is assisting police with their investigations.
