Carrots are normally orange in colour even though some could be yellow, etc. They are very rich in provitamin A, vitamins B, C, and E. They also contain small amount of proteins, iron, zinc and fat. They are also made up of reasonable amount of carbohydrate, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, niacin, folate, sodium and fiber.

Consumption of carrots makes the retina function very well which helps in night vision or in low light environment.
