Antonio Conte has left his role as manager for Serie A champions Inter Milan by mutual consent
The former Juventus and Chelsea manager led Inter to their first Serie title after 11 years and upon agreement with the club owners the Italian manager will be paid €7 million for the final year of his contract.
Conte was reportedly asked to trim his squad and also cut down his wages by 15 to 20 per cent.
Inter Chairman Steven Zhang reportedly asked Conte to sell players worth up to €70 million this summer which led to a dispute between the manager and the club owners.
“The whole club would like to thank Antonio for the extraordinary work he has done, which culminated in winning the 19th Scudetto. Antonio Conte will remain forever in the history of our club.”
