He further explained that the just ended NPP primaries there was nothing wrong with conducting it amid coronavirus spending more than hours and some of them breached social distance protocols by hugging and all that. The government didn’t see anything wrong with that. The government does not see anything wrong with compiling new voter registers amid coronavirus for hours. The government does not see anything wrong with distributing NHIA cards. The government recognizes that there is something wrong with the church spending more than one hour as if the church is a place where one goes will get coronavirus even if strict adherence of preventive protocols postulated by Ghana Health Service and WHO is observed.

Why has the government put strong restrictions on the church?. Some pastors were fined and others jailed for breaching mass gathering protocol. The leader of Potters’ House raised an argument that if during the NPP Primaries some delegates and party officials flouted coronavirus protocols and they were left with no legal action against then, then the pastors jailed for breaching the coronavirus protocols should be set free.
