Nigerian Superstar Wizkid Dayo took a swipe at Nigerian pastors on Wednesday morning for their inability to cure patients who are sick with the Coronavirus.

The West African country noted for its numerous churches and thousands of pastors who tout themselves as miracle workers and can cure several deadly diseases including HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B among others have failed to show up in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

At the early stages of the virus, videos emerged of some pastors claiming they could cure the virus but nothing has been heard from them again.

Reacting to the situation in the country, the “Come closer” hit maker took to Twitter to mock their no show.

“I never see any naija pastor go isolation heal anybody from covid lol,” the Starboy tweeted.

According to data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), as at June 12,  8:04 am, Nigeria has made 85,375 tests for the Coronavirus. The country has recorded 14,554 confirmed cases with 9,673 active cases.

Nigeria has discharged 4,494 COVID-19 patients and has recorded 387 deaths. Lagos remains the epicenter of the Coronavirus in the country with 6,611 cases.

Nigeria is the third country with the highest number of Coronavirus cases following South Africa which leads the table and Egypt at second.
