A search is underway for 2 lacking surf skiers who went lacking in Moreton Bay off Stradbroke Island. 

The 2 males, aged of their mid to late 20s, left Dunwich close to the western facet of North Stradbroke Island in Queensland on Monday at round 10.30am. 

The pair had been travelling to Cylinder Seashore on Stradbroke Island on surf skis – one orange and black, the opposite a white Epic V8 Professional – however they didn’t arrive.  

The Water Police, Volunteer Marine Rescue, Rescue 500 helicopter and a hard and fast wing jet have commenced a seek for the duo across the South Passage Bar. 

The search is anticipated to proceed into the evening as police report the pair would not have any meals with them.  

Anybody who has noticed the skis or the lacking duo is urged to contact police instantly.
