Canadian born American rapper, Drake has donated $100,000 to help bail the more than 4,000 protesters who have been arrested in the George Floyd protests in the United States.

More than 4,000 protesters were arrested by law enforcement officers after clashes, torching and looting of stores and business centers.

Drake donated the money to the National Bail Out Fund, “an organization built on reuniting families, creating a national community of leaders who have experienced incarceration, and working with groups across the country to transform harmful systems to keep people safe and free.”

Drake donated the money after an IG user, @Mustaphathepoet, posted his $400 donation and tagged The Weekend and Drake asking the donate to help bail those arrested in the protests attended by top celebrities like Nick Cannon, Swae Lee and J.Cole.

6lack, Nomane, Tierra Whack and several other rappers have donated towards relief efforts to bail arrested protesters across the states.
