Controversial actress and celebrity Andrea Owusu, popularly known as Efia Odo has showered praises on Ghanaian rappers, Sarkodie and Manifest on the release of their new track, “Brown Paper Bag”.

The song which featured Manifest talks about the struggles of black people in America and how blacks have been brainwashed to think their traditions and cultures are inferior.

The song came in the wake of the killing of unarmed black man, George Floyd who was killed by some four Minneapolis, Minnesota cops. It also highlighted the killings of several other black characters.

Sarkodie

Sarkodie released the song on the day he arrived in Ghana. The rapper arrived in the country on June 18 on a KLM Royal Dutch Airline with his wife Tracey and their daughter Titi.

The artwork of the new song was designed by one Bright Ackwerh. It depicted some developed countries leaders and some two black leaders with brown paper bags in front of them.

The song immediately became a hit, trending on Twitter for a day.  Following the release of the track, Efia Odo took to Twitter to heap praises on the two rappers for their excellent verses.

“Manifest and Sark are two of the most Woke rappers in Africa. Listen to the words in brown paper bag. The artwork sef dey burst my brain. #brownpaperbag,” she tweeted.

She said the dope track was one of the best rap songs she had heard in a while. She wrote in a tweet: “Brown paper bag is the realest sh*t I’ve heard in a while. Great job great job!”

Visuals for “Brown Paper Bag” was released yesterday. It has garnered 45,000 views on YouTube in 9 hours.
