Erling Haaland has won the 2020 Golden Boy Award

The Golden Boy award scheme was setup by Italian newspaper Tuttosport and is given to the best young player under the age of 21 across the European leagues with the winner now decided by an intense voting process and a panel of global experts.

The Norwegian young talent scored 44 goals in all competitions in the 2019/20 season with 28 of them during his spell at RB Salzburg before securing a January move to Dortmund.

The Norwegian fended off competition from his teammate Sancho who came second to win the award.

Haaland scored a hatrick on his Borussia Dortmund derby going on to score 16 goals throughout the rest of the season.
