“No, in all these things we’re more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I’m convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Rom.8:37-39
In times of discomfort, there’s a word of comfort; when there’s so much pain, there’s a word of peace; when there’s so much fear, there’s a word of faith; when one is labeled the victim, there’s a word of victory. GOD LOVES YOU. WE CAN’T AND WON’T LOSE, NO MATTER THE SEVERITY OF THE SITUATION. Never despair. Shalom.
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I’ll fear no evil, for you’re with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Ps.23:4
There could be dangerous situations when defeat, destruction, and disgrace seem more probable than deliverance. A point of confluence of all sorts of calamities which heightens fears and lowers faith, the only source of courage to move on without resigning is the knowledge of Divine presence. Fear not, God is with us, we shall not lose the battle, no matter how much we’re battered. We shall overcome. Shalom.
“Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man…Surely he’ll never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever. He’ill have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.” Ps.112:4,6,7
In our struggles and sufferings, let’s be mindful that God is mindful of us. As the battle wavers and breakthrough seems difficult and doubtful, our courage to fight on is based on a sure, settled, strong and steadfast conviction that darkness won’t last forever. Victory may not be visible, but with God, victory is possible. Let’s pray, plan and push forward. We shall overcome. No shaking. Shalom.
