Media heavyweight and Ghanaian Broadcaster Nana Yaa Brefo has parted ways with Multimedia Group’s Adom TV. She announced her resignation on Instagram following several reports.
The award winning journalist who worked with the Multimedia Group for 10 years abruptly brought her career with the group to an end, a move a lot of reports associated with her recent chaotic interview with Actress Nana Ama McBrown.
Viewers of her “Badwam” program reprimanded her line of questioning during the interview which they called “unprofessional.” Several people called for her sacking after the interview. It is currently unclear if she resigned as a result of the pressure from the interview.
The journalist who claimed she left the media group to pursue other dreams wrote in an Instagram post : “I want to say a very big thank you to MultiMedia and my colleagues. Also want to thank my fans for the support, really appreciate also thank those who did not like me, you made me grow during my 10 years stay at Multimedia, (Adom TV). I bow out of Multimedia to follow other dreams.”
The multimedia group had previously let a handful of workers off the hook due to the economic repercussions of the novel Coronavirus on the companies finances.
Meanwhile, Nana Ama McBrown who didn’t seem to believe news about her resignation when she was told said: “Oh, Nana Yaa Brefo is a matured woman, so if she is trending, it is up to her…you know you don’t have to believe anything on social media so I doubt it may be true…,”
