Government suffers another judgement debt of $15.3 million

According to our sources, the mining company,Heritage Imperial Limited on 6th December,2018 sites were invaded by the government Inter-ministerial Task force which captured their mining equipment on the charge that its was involved in illegal mining activities contrary to the commitment  enshrined in the licence issued to.

According to the issued licence directives the mining company was to explore or to prospect for gold in the Apamprama Forest Reserve in the Amansie West District, Ashanti Region. However, the government Inter-ministerial Task force found the activities of the mining company otherwise hence the seizure.

Nevertheless, the Kumasi High Court presided over by Justice Samuel Obeng Diawuo ruled that since the government could substantiate its claim of illegality of the activities of the said company it was not operating beyond its mandates. Additionally, the company’s lawyers also proved that it was operating within the commitments stipulated by the licence issued to by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources on October 25, 2018.
