Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman Manu has been released from hospital after undergoing Covid-19 treatment according to the Information Minister.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah told reporters at a press conference that the health minister will now continue his recovery at home.
He said he has spoken with Mr Agyeman Manu, who has confirmed his release from the University Ghana Medical Centre.
Previously, there were conflicting reports that the minister was not infected with the virus and only “resting” at UGMC.
On Sunday, President Nana Akufo-Addo insisted that the Health Minister was recovering after contracting the virus at his line of duty.

He asked Ghanaians to pray for the Minister of Health and all those treated for the novel coronavirus.
The health minister later expressed his appreciation to the President and other well-wishers
“I want to thank the President and all the Ghanaian citizens from the bottom of my heart for your good wishes and prayers. By God’s grace, I’ve responded to treatment,” he said in a post on his Facebook wall.
We are glad to announce that our Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman has been discharged from our Centre at UGMC and continuing his recovery at home.
