Celebrities are stepping up their game in support for black communities following the killing of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd. Jay-Z chartered a private flight for the lawyers of Ahmaud Arbery who was murdered last three months in Georgia while Kanye West donated $2 Million to the families of Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

Arbery’s lawyers almost gave up hope after searching for a flight or car for hours to attend a court hearing in Brunswick, Georgia. Jay-Z and his company, Roc Nation stepped in to charter a private jet to fly the lawyers to court.

“When you absolutely have to be in Court to stand with your client and righteous protestors for justice … Jay Z sends his private jet,” wrote Merritt. “That’s part of the P.P.E plan to get us out of this Crisis (People Power Political Power Economic Power,” S. Lee Merritt, the founder of Merritt Law Firm, those representing the family of Ahmaud Arbery wrote on Instagram.

25-year old Ahmaud Arbery was shot dead by the son of a retired police officer while the two chased Arbery while he was jogging in Glynn County, Georgia. Three people have been arrested in connection with his murder.

Meanwhile, Kanye West joined George Floyd protests with students of the Chicago Public Schools in Chicago. He has donated $2 million to the families of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd who were all killed because they were blacks.

Kanye has donated to cover legal costs for the Arbery and Taylor families. He is also contributing to a 529 college savings fund to cover education costs for George Floyd’s 6-year old daughter, Gianna.

Kanye’s representative has also confirmed that he is donating to support black businesses in Chicago which have been affected by the protests which have spanned more than a week.
