Jordan Ayew has tested positive for coronavirus after returning from international duty with the Black Stars.
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson revealed this on Sunday after his sides draw to Brighton at the Selhurst Park as the striker missed out on the Premier League action.
Jordan was not included in the sqaud to play the derby as Brighton scored late to hold Palace to a draw at their own backyard.
“Yes, he [Jordan Ayew] tested positive after returning from international duty with Ghana like many other Ghanaian players. We were quite happy for him to go but jas now returned and can’t play,” Hodgson told reporters.
“I don’t know when he’ll return but like all he has to follow the government guidelines so I don’t know.”
Jordan becomes the third Black Stars player to test positive for the virus after Bernard Mensah and Gideon Mensah all tested positive after returning to their respective clubs.

Thankfully, I am feeling fine & do not have any symptoms 🙏🏾
I will be cheering the boys on from home & look forward to being back on the pitch soon 💪🏽🔴🔵
Stay safe 🙌🏾♥️
