The Ghana Education Service has acted swiftly in dealing with the chaos that occured on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Senior High School yesterday.
The institution has asked the headmistress, one Felicia Asamoah Danquah to step aside and allow for investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of a student of the school who was neglected for close to three hours while he was ill for tbe fear of COVID-19.
A press release from signed by the Head of Public Relations at the Ghana Education Service has indicated that the Ashanti Regional Director of Education will take over the management of the school.
The death of the boy has sparked outrage on social media as several Ghanaians called for heads to roll.

“The Director General of GES has directed the Head of KNUST SHS Felicia Asamoah Danquah to step aside for the Regional Director of Education, Ashanti to take over the administration of the school while Management of GES investigate the circumstances leading to the demise of a student tuesday 07 July 2020.”
