The Alumni of the University Hall, Katanga have donated PPEs worth Ghc 35,000 to the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR) and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi Hospital respectively.

The Katanga Alumni solicited some funds amongst themselves to help boost the fight against Covid-19 pandemic currently ravaging the world. The items consisted of lab coats, goggles and nose masks.

Prof. Richard Odame Philips, director of KCCR who received the items on behalf the research institution located in KNUST thanked the Alumni immensely for their timely intervention and the appropriateness of the items that were donated to their outfit. He indicated that the Katanga Alumni were very apt in donating the PPEs they donated.

Meanwhile the administrator of the KNUST hospital, Mr. Baah Boateng also thanked the Katanga fraternity for donating to the hospital and promised they will put the items into good use. He asked others to emulate the gesture.

The association has been involved in several charity works including donating to orphanages and other institutions across the country.
