Vanessa Bryant’s mother claims her daughter kicked her out of their home after the death of her son-in-law, NBA superstar Kobe Bryant.
Sofia Laine wiped her tears as she described the breakup from her grieving daughter in a video reviewing her interview with Univision reporter Dave Valadez.
Lane speaks Spanish and says Vanessa, 38, forced her out of the house and asked to return the car she was using.
The family feud drama comes as Vanessa mourns the loss of her 41-year-old husband and 13-year-old daughter Gianna in a helicopter crash in January in Calabasas, California.
It’s unclear what caused the alleged mother-child split, as Laine was previously described as Vanessa Bryant’s fortress when he lost her husband.
A source close to the family told US Weekly that Laine was very close to the Bryant family after Kobe’s death and has been taking care of their three daughters.
