Kofi Manu, Veteran Football Administrator, affectionately called ‘Blue Boy’ hints of the return of the Former Ghana Football Association(GFA) President, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi in an interview he granted Onua TV monitored by straightnewsonline.com.
He added that even though Kwesi Nyantakyi as with every individual was not perfect but he was instrumental and phenomenal in Ghana, Africa and World football at large. That through his active participation in world football an African for the first time became the Chairman of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee who was in the person of the current Chief Justice of Ghana, Justice Anim Yeboah.
Former GFA President was suspended and relieved of his position after Anas’ exposure on him and other football officials of corrupt practices in a video that was made public. He was taken through some disciplinary process by FIFA and that lead to his sack as well.
After, new hunt of GFA president was launched by Normalisation Committee and at the end of the day a number of interested parties applied for and was voted for by stakeholders. Kurt Okraku emerged the winner who is currently the substantive President of the GFA.
