The former National Deputy Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho has commended President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo for asking communicators of the New Patriotic Party to desist from personal attacks on opponents.
The President in a Zoom video call with his campaign communications advisory team admonished those who speak on behalf of the NPP and the campaign to stop attacking the personalities of their political opponents.
The President said communicators should speak on the great achievements the ruling party have made. He also asked them to remind Ghanaians of the state of the country before they took power and how far they’ve come.
Reacting to the news, Mr. Koku Anyidoho took to Twitter to commend the president on the move calling it a “brilliant leadership” decision.
“Brilliant leadership move by President Akufo-Addo, for admonishing his communications handlers to stay away from personality attacks and focus on concrete messages. Vile political vituperation must be condemned in no uncertain terms by all,” Koku Anyidoho tweeted.
On the same call, the president asked his communicators to talk to the public on observing the safety protocols in order to aid the fight against COVID-19.
