Reggae and Dancehall artiste, Ras Kuuku is calling on the government to make him an ambassador for the new Narcotic Bill which was passed by parliament on Friday, 20 March 2020.
The bill set to legalize the growing and production of cannabis of 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol, for health and industrial purposes and also enhance the powers of the existing Narcotic Board by making it a commission.
The “Wo” hitmaker is ready to take up an ambassadorial opportunity to educate the public on the bill and the importance of marijuana.
Speaking on Accra 100.5 FM, the “show them level” singer explained that Ghanaians need to understand the importance of marijuana to the economy.
“The country stands the chance of boosting the economy from the revenue generated from wee, which will benefit the economy a lot,”
“Make me an ambassador for weed and will generate more money for the country, I will build more classrooms to end the double-track system,” he stated.
He further disclosed that the drug is also beneficial to the human body, a reason he wants to be an advocate of the new bill.
The singer also cautioned the public over abuse of the drug while advising the youth to stay away from the drug unless recommended by a health professional.
