Chelsea and Manchester United have secured Champions League football for the next campaign while Bournemouth and Watford sink to relegation despite a hard fought battle for survival on Sunday.

Chelsea beat Wolves 2-0 to make the top 4

United just needed a point to salvage their spot in the top four against Leicester City but a penalty converted by January signing Bruno Fernandes and a late winner from Jesse Lingard helped them to win 2–0 to secure third place in the Premier League table with 66 points while Chelsea on the other hand placed fourth after beating Wolves with two late first half goals.

Bournemouth despite beating Everton were relegated as Aston Villa salvaged a point against West Ham

Leicester spent 298 days in the top four but were mixed to fifth place after their defeat to United and will go to the Europa League group stages along with Tottenham after they drew at Crystal Palace moving to seventh above Wolves on goal difference.

Wolves will now have to wait for the FA Cup finals on August 1 to know whether they will be in Europe or not. A Win from Arsenal against Chelsea will take the Gunners to the second qualifying round stage.

The other end of the table saw a hard fought battle for relegation with Bournemouth and Watford sinking down to the Championship. Eddie Howe’s men thrashed Everton 3 goals to 1 but was not enough to lift them above the drop zone as Aston Villa drew with West Ham.

Watford were relegated as well after losing 3-2 to Arsenal at the Emirates

Watford lost 3-2 at the Emirates while Norwich who were already relegated lost 5-0 to Manchester City.
