The Telegraph reports that Manchester United have had their bid for Italian winger Federico Chiesa rejected by Fiorentina after they failed to make any progress im their pursuit for Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho.

United are believed to still harbour hopes of finalising the Sancho deal but Borussia Dortmund still remain firm on their stand that the England international will not be sold for anything less than their £108m asking price.

With just five days to go in the transfer window, United seeks an alternative option for a loan deal.

Fiorentina are not interested in loaning their winger, Chiesa who is also on the radar of Juventus with the Italian Champions willing to pay £45m for services of the 22-year-old winger.

Watford winger Ismaila Sarr is also an available option United could look at but the Hornets are also not interested in a loan deal for the Senegalese.
