The horrifying second a virtually five-metre-long saltwater crocodile snapped up a big turtle has been captured on video.

The footage was taken from a mustering helicopter simply south from the mouth of the Daintree River in far north Queensland.  

The crocodile was seen swimming about half a kilometre from the shore when it was seen by Brian Bartlett.

Mr Bartlett captured the video and shared it to a group Fb web page the place he warned locals in regards to the sighting. 

‘Simply making an attempt to get message out giant croc round 4.5m was swimming simply South of Daintree mouth and half a kilometre out to sea roughly in keeping with Wonga Seashore,’ he wrote.

‘Seen from a mustering helicopter, had a big turtle in its mouth.’
