President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo has accepted the resignation of the Tema West Member of Parliament and Deputy Trade Minister, Honorable Carlos Ahenkorah this morning.
News making round earlier indicated that the President has directed Carlos Ahenkorah to either resign or be fired. A press statement from the President’s office, signed by the Director of Communications, Mr Eugene Arhin confirms that the President accepted his resignation.
Carlos granted interviews to the media in which he confessed to knowingly visiting registration centers even though he knew he tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus.
His confession didn’t go down well with a lot of Ghanaians including members of his party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who heavily descended on him for acting recklessly.
The President admonished all his appointees and members of government to act responsibly and not endanger the lives of Ghanaians. The letter said he wished Carlos Ahenkorah well in his future endeavors.
