Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) registered to acquire her voter ID card yesterday.

She took to twitter to announce her acquisition of the card and called on all who are yet to register to go ahead and register before the registration process ends on August 6.

“I have successfully registered.May I implore all those who are yet to register to kindly do so, particularly, as we approach the end point of the voter registration exercise,” Prof. Opoku-Agyemang wrote in a tweet.

The former Education Minister also admonished the public to go through the process without the use of force and violence. She said Ghanaians can act more responsibly in processes like this other than resorting to violence.

“I still believe it is possible to register eligible Ghanaians without the violence, intimidation and blatant discrimination that has characterized the current exercise. We are better than this,” she said.

Meanwhile, her boss, former President John Dramani Mahama was also in Bole yesterday to get his registration done. He was met a huge crowd of town folks when he arrived at the registration centre in his hometown. He visited the palace of the Bole Chief after getting his card.
