According to the directives postulated in the International Central Gospel Church communique from its headquarters, the church shall not be opened till further notice even though the President on 31 May 2020 has lifted the ban on church and public gathering.

“No ICGC local assembly shall be opened to run in-person church services until so advised by the Presbytery,” it said.

The reason for the directive was according to the communique to “assess, monitor, and evaluate all protocols in a simulation exercise with selected local assemblies in various districts. This will enable them to determine the appropriateness and effectiveness of the protocols throughout their churches nation-wide.” Other churches have taken a similar decision like Perez Dome, the Maker’s House Chapel International, etc.

This does not mean that the other churches willing to start service on June 7, 2020, don’t care about their members. Once the churches gorgeously observe the preventive directives President Akufo Addo prescribed, then it is good.
