An ardent member of the ruling NPP(New Patriotic Party) in the United States of America Dr. Arthur-Kennedy has expressed his displeasure about the way NPP primaries were conducted he said this when he granted an interview with Accra based Media house via skype monitored by straightnewsonline.
65 persons at NPP primaries are going unopposed. He added that people must not be prevented from contesting because it mars intra-party democracy. Apparently, this brought outcry where some embittered members of the party rained insults and curses on those going unopposed and the party indirectly, etc. At least those who have been in parliament before could have been given another chance, and even new ones as well.
Dr. Kennedy in the interview said the old voter register could have been improved piecemeal form considering the impact of coronavirus on the economy.
On the issue of Paul Afoko, Kwabena Agyeppong, and other members of the ruling NPP that have been abandoned they should be brought back and integrate them into government possibly.
He, however, recommended the President for good institutions like the Free SHS, digitalization of the economy, creation of employment in some government sectors, but bemoans how coronavirus is slowing economies in the world including that of Ghana.
