The timely intervention of the security service at the residence of constituency chairman for the New Patriotic Party in Sunyani East, Musah Damtarrh, prevented a chaos

The chairman and two other persons were allegedly attacked at a gunpoint by three popular supporters of Ameyaw-Cheremeh, the MP for Sunyani East Constituency.

The incident happened around 2:00 on Saturday, 20th June.

According to sources, Mr. Damtarrh and two others returned from the Residency in Sunyani when Asare Atua, Asoma Salia popularly called Tupac, and another man with a gun and other offensive weapons suddenly emerged from the car park towards them.

The attackers, who threatened to “kill” them, gave no reason for the attack.

The persistent call for help by the three drew the attention of the security guards at the resident.

The guards escorted them to their homes, only to find out that another group of attackers laid ambush to launch another assault.

As a result, the guards accompanied them to the nearest police station.

Police said they are investigating the matter.
