Ghana Black Stars have started their qualifying campaign in a grand style as they tear apart South Africa Bafana Bafana at Cape Coast Stadium on 14th November 2019.

Impressive goals from Thomas Partey and Kudus Mohammed brought Black stars to a resounding 2-0 victory over South Africans. Thomas Partey scored the first goal for the Black Stars when the first half was about ending which gave Ghana a lead. The second half was very promising for Bafana Bafana as they mopped up strategies to equalize. However, the defense of Ghana Black Stars resisted their onslaught as they matched them man-to-man resisting all their attacks.

South Africans were crippled as Kudus Mohammed was brought on as a substitute who scored the second goal for Black Stars also just about the end of the second half at the 83rd Minute.

Other countries in Group A with Black Stars are Sudan and Sao Tome and Principe also played. Sudan walloped Sao Tome Principe by 4-0.In the meantime, as the group stands Sudan and Black Stars have 3 points each. This means that Bafana Bafana is third leaving Sao Tome Principe at the bottom in the meantime.

Black Stars is scheduled to play Sao Tome Principe on 18th November 2019 in their AFCON qualifying campaign.

Ibrahim Tanko’s side Black Meteors have narrowly qualified to the semi-finals by beating the Malians by 2-0 at the ongoing U23 AFCON at Egypt also on last Thursday evening,14th November 2019.

The first half saw no goals as both Black Meteors and Malian efforts at scoring proved futile. The second half, however, brought smiles and laughter on the faces and cheeks of Black Meteors where the substitute Kwabena Owusu scored a first nice goal at the 74th minute. Just when the second half was about ending at the 85th minute Owusu netted a second goal securing 2-0 win for the Black Meteors. Kwabena Owusu was the man of the match scoring 2 goals.
