President Nana Akufo-Addo will address the nation as part of his weekly update on the measures to fight the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The address will be the 8th since the outbreak of the virus in the country which will be aired at 8:00 pm on National Television GTV and the president’s official Facebook page.
During the president’s 7th address on 19th April 2020, he gave the directive for the lifting of the partial lockdown which was placed on Accra, Kumasi, Tema and Kasoa despite the growing number of cases in Ghana.
People’s interest will be on the ban placed on social gathering and the closure of schools.
The total number of cases currently is 1550 with 155 recoveries and 11 death.
