The President commended the church and other religious denominations for observing the coronavirus hygiene protocols well so far. He made it clear that the churches and mosques are now eased from 100 congregants at a service once the coronavirus hygiene protocols are observed. He, however, added that the 1 hour per service restriction is now extended to 2 hours.

He admonished the church to continue to keep 1metre social distancing rule, washing of hands, and the use of sanitizers. He emphasized that the church must stop using air conditioners and open windows to allow a good ventilation system. Good ventilation will help so that if the virus is concentrated on the religious premises it could leave that atmosphere easily.

According to President Akufo Addo as of 24 July 2020, the active cases of coronavirus stand at 3307 with 29494 recoveries. This means that the total number of recorded cases of coronavirus in Ghana stands at 32801.
