The National Communications Officer the opposition National Democratic Congress, Sammy Gyamfi burst onto the scene a few years ago and has already carved an identity for himself.
The outspoken young lawyer has become a familiar face on major television channels with his articulate and well structured arguments which have made him a thorn in the flesh of members of the ruling New Patriotic Party most at times.
One of his most interesting times with the English language happened on a political program on Media General’s TV3.
Responding to an allegation of the NDC Flagbearer, John Maham being involved in a scandal famously known as the Airbus Scandal, the astute lawyer started his defense saying: “This judgment as we have now is a compendium of speculations, amorphous personalities and nebulous innuendoes insinuations. It doesn’t offer any fact of wrongdoing of any ex-government official”.
The response has earned him a name among Ghanaians who call him “nebulous”.
Popular Ghanaian blogger, Ameyaw Debrah took to twitter to celebrate Sammy’s English prowess. The blogger tweeted: “Sammy Gyamfi’s English teacher would be so proud of him.”
Famous Ghanaian Actor turned politician, John Dumelo quickly quoted the tweet with the word “nebulous.”
