The office of the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah was graced with the visit of the Spanish government in Sekondi in this month of November 2019 at the Western Regional Coordinating Council.
Between the Spanish government and Ghana government behold a long-standing unity in all our facets of engagement. As part of strengthening bilateral and diplomatic relationships, the western regional Minister visited Spain earlier to discuss Regional governance issues and other equally important developmental issues, which had made the Spanish envoy reciprocate same in showing commitment to sustain the level of friendship between the two countries.
Indeed, we cherish and appreciate the level of cooperation and understanding between us in ensuring continuous partnership in all layers of engagement between us.
It is believed that this visit and bilateral tides will convert into developing Western Region in times of business and infrastructure. The people of the Western region are looking forward to their fair share of the one district one factory. Sekondi-Takoradi and other electorates in the region are crying foul for the neglect by the government and wish to see practical attention in the region. One could be very honest to say that since the new Western Regional Minister came there had been such exchanges and a little bit of seen vibrancy.
This is because of the award he recently received. The Western Regional Minister who doubles as the MP for Takoradi, Honourable Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah received an award at the 5th Pan African Humanitarian Summit/Award in Abu Dhabi, which took place from 20 – 22 November 2019.
He is was a guest speaker and will speak on the theme: strengthening regional and global partnerships for prosperous Africa. He received an award for LEGISLATIVE EXCELLENCE AND COMMUNITY IMPACT. This award category is for the bravest and most daring, as well as the most strategically sound and forward-looking law-maker with measurable achievements in humanitarian and socio-economic developments.
