The pop-up selfie camera isn’t a new feature to the smartphone world but it is a nice way of distinguishing handsets and manufacturers from each other and Samsung will not be left out.

Samsung will be joining a few other handset manufacturers who have already released handsets with the feature according to leaks obtained by longtime leakers, OnLeaks and design website Pigtou . The Oneplus 7 Pro and Oppo Reno are few handsets which have already made use of this feature.

A number of renders acquired by OnLeaks and Pigtou showed the new and upcoming Samsung handset from different angles.

In the renders, the phone is supposed to have a triple camera array and a fingerprint scanner on its rear which makes it an unlikely Samsung Galaxy S series but rather the Samsung Galaxy A series.

A small protruded square pop-up at the top edge of the handset contains the selfie camera which is positioned slightly away from the centre.

From the OnLeaks and Pigtou renders, the handset will have no headphone jack but will feature a USB C port which is typical of the Samsung Galaxy A series models.

We can’t singlehandedly confirm the accuracy of these designs in the renders of the handset bearing in mind that some past Samsung prototypes turned out to be wildly different from the company’s final designs.
