Ghana’s National Chief Iman, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, has donated GHS 50,000 for the construction of the national cathedral.
This was conveyed by Chef imam when the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral visited him on Thursday, August 26, 2021 to congratulate him on the successful completion of the National Mosque.
A spokesman of the National Imam, Sheikh Aremeyaw Shuaibu, told the media that the donation was to entrenched the peaceful relation that had existed between the Muslims and Christians over the years in Ghana.
As Ghanaians, we are all practitioners of different faiths and we can sit at the same table and have the opportunity to discuss things and anything of interest to us, to really work and maintain our harmony, and we shouldn’t do anything to what disturb our relationship Indeed he said that we should not use politics to interfere with our relationship and that we should put politics aside and instead, as practitioners of different religions, all come together and see what we can do for the benefit of our country.

The chairman of the National Cathedral Board of Trustees, Prof. Apostle Opoku Onyinah, delighted with the contribution, urged Ghanaians to emulate same.
