Professor Stephen Adei asserted that the only people who are rich in Ghana are politicians and thieves seemingly. He explained that ‘thieves’ here are corrupt officials who are working in both the public and private sectors. He made this statement when he was making a speech in Takoradi last Saturday, 29th February 2020 under a business summit on a theme; Economic and Business Empowerment organized by Men’s Ministry of the Assemblies of God Church.
He further explained that starting your own business with the right knowledge and practice would make one richer than politicians and corrupt officials. In that, you begin small and with discipline and integrity, working twice the average worker, being self-motivated, following a business plan and being committed to your business plan, you would be able to grow your business.
He added that the right investments and business are key to a successful business. That your business must be tailored to the needs of the people or the target market.
Finally, he indicated that every entrepreneur must abide by the laws and follow what he calls 10,10,80. In that, you pay 10% of your personal income as thithe, 10% on investment and 80% on yourself and family. He vehemently added that if you do not follow 10,10, 80 you will be worst than today.
