Arsenal new signing Thomas Partey says he wants to help the club to ‘get back to where it belongs’ as he eyes Premier League title with the Gunners.
Partey recently joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in a deal worth £45m signing a long-term deal at the Emirates.
Arsenal have gone 16 years without winning the Premier League with their last title in the 2003/2004 season even though they have won the FA Cup five times with their last just in the previous season after beating Chelsea in the finals also marking a record fourteenth FA Cup win.
Partey told Arsenal’s official website: “Everybody is wanting to win all the trophies that can be won, that’s my goal also.
“It’s something that is difficult but we’re working towards it and we are ready. We have to go all out and try to achieve all I have said.
“That’s the objective of the club and myself. We have to get back to where we belong.”
Arsenal missed out on the Champions League but proved to be a strong force despite finishing eighth in the Premier League, they beat Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.
“It’s a great challenge,” Partey added.
“I want to experience new challenges. Im ready to give it my all and help this club.
“They [ manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu] told me about their plans and it was so exciting so I had to accept it. I feel great to be here.”
Arsenal have started the season strong winning three of their first four Premier League games and travels to the Etihad over the weekend to play Manchester City.
