Health experts warned businesses to do more and make sure people spread out after thousands join overcrowded lines in front of food banks and unemployment offices for handouts in the past week in the US.

The jobless rate climbs to 14.7% in the US after nearly 17 million filed for unemployment claims. Relief organizations are struggling to keep up with the rising numbers demanding for food.

The government has been urged to work to prevent people from ending up in lines in front of food banks. The IRS began paying checks worth $1200 dollars to households although people say the package wouldn’t be enough to sustain them.
