“A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, ‘Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?'” Mk.4:37-38
Sometimes the violent and furious nature of the storms of life may cause us to question the faithfulness, power, care, and concern of the Lord. Others may mockingly question the existence of our God. But my problems do not change the position, personality, and power of my God. God is still God, and He will certainly still the storms. No fears, He will help. Shalom.
“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I’ve prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you’ve turned back, strengthen your brothers.” Lk.22:41-32
The intentions of the enemy for us to fail will fail if we intercede for one another not to fail in our struggles in life. No matter how much we’re sifted, we won’t be shifted from God. The enemy can hit us, but can’t hurt our faith in Jesus. He firmly holds our lives in His loving arms. Let’s intercede for one another, God will hear and help. We know no defeat since Christ is our captain. Shalom.
“I’ve posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they’ll never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.” Is.62:6-7
We must persist until we prevail in the battle. We’re called for a purpose and we must be committed because of our purpose. Until the storms become quiet, we need not quit or be quiet. Determination shouldn’t succumb to discouragement, because no setback can set us back. Let’s continue to intercede, heaven will surely intervene. Never despair. Shalom.
